Literacy encompasses many skills and types of knowledge.  Sometimes we categorize these different types of literacy.  These include: Basic Literacy, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Math, Family Literacy, Financial Literacy, Health Literacy Workplace Literacy and Computer Literacy.
